Quick life update

It's carpet cleaning day! :D :D :D This is my favorite unofficial holiday. We move all of the family room furniture into the kitchen, and it's like a magical little den; the couches are pushed up against each other, the little end tables are like little islands... I don't know what it is about having LESS space that excites me, but it does. Maybe it's just fun to change things up a little, since I know they'll be back to normal eventually. When I was little I used to clamber around between the couches and chairs and tables, but even back then it wasn't the safest activity so as a much larger adult I'm definitely not going to try. Even if I want to.
During the last carpet cleaning day I played Shadowrun (Dragonfall, I think?) and because I am a creature of extreme habit the idea of doing that again appeals to me. It's like I'm - reestablishing a sort of mental space? It's something I try to do when I can. It's such a lovely cozy memory with a very distinctive texture, so I want to both reinforce the memory and recreate that feeling. I have no idea if this makes any sense. I've never been able to explain it. Anyway, I haven't even thought about Shadowrun recently and I'm almost in the endgame phase of Awakening so realistically I shouldn't get myself into another game at risk of dropping Awakening right before finishing it for the second time... but man, it would be satisfying. Well, I don't have work today, so I've got ages to figure it out.
Hah! Frodo (cat) just came inside, and he's so confused. He keeps weaving in between the legs of the chairs as if he's looking for the real kitchen. He has this look on his face, like "this is not my beautiful house :| this is not my beautiful wife :|"
Oh, never mind, he found a Nerf dart that we forgot to pick up and he's batting it around. He's recovered.
